Become an expert in confidently managing the physical and emotional care of patients across a range of healthcare settings with our Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship. By applying your learning from day one, you’ll bring new skills and knowledge to the clinical setting, making an immediate impact.
You’ll develop your passion for healthcare into a specialist expertise, focusing on either adult, mental health, or paediatric care. While delivering the highest level of care, you’ll learn how to respond to complex, sensitive, and pressured situations, while building trust by demonstrating compassion and expertise.
Working in multidisciplinary teams, you’ll learn what it takes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate a patient’s care, balancing co-existing nursing and healthcare requirements. With a depth of expertise and hands-on experience, you’ll establish yourself as a capable, trusted Registered Nurse (RN), backed by industry leading training.
This programme is approved and regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
Who is the programme for?
The Level 6 Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship is for people who want an alternative route to qualification as an NMC Registered Nurse (RN). From hospitals to care homes, this apprenticeship will equip you with the experience and skills to operate effectively in healthcare settings, working closely with experienced professionals in multidisciplinary teams.
This programme is ideal for you if you’re either an existing healthcare assistant looking to take your career to the next level, or if you’re looking to start your career in nursing and healthcare.

With the specialist knowledge you need to pursue the healthcare discipline you’re passionate about, you’ll push your career forward while improving the lives of patients.
Once you’ve completed the apprenticeship and become a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), you’ll be able to pursue further specialisation and expertise with additional work experience or study up to postgraduate level.
Who's eligible?
In accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) (2018) standards, to be eligible for this programme you must be employed in a relevant role in a care setting, and, as a minimum requirement, have:
A minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points required for this course; OR,
Four GCSEs at Grade 4/5 or above, which must include English language and mathematics; OR,
Nursing Associate Qualification; OR,
Health Care Assistant Practitioner; OR,
A Higher Education Certificate in Health and Social Care; AND,
Digital literacy (Digital literacy is the ability to effectively use digital tools and technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information in a responsible and ethical manner)
English language requirements
To study at BPP, it is important that you can communicate and engage in English effectively in an academic setting.
For students where English is not your first language you must have:
IELTS of 6.0 average with no two skills lower than a 5.5.
