CFA® Level 3 is a challenging level, but whether you find it the hardest depends on the candidate. Unlike CFA® Level 2, which focuses on complex quantitative analysis, CFA Level 3 subjects emphasise portfolio management and wealth planning with a mix of constructed response, essay style questions and item sets. Many candidates struggle with the essay section, which requires clear, concise responses under time pressure. If you excel in writing and applying concepts holistically, Level 3 may feel easier than Level 2.
